Description
Here’s what the Great Taste Awards judges thought about the Wild Mountain Acacia Honey:
“This is a delightfully pale, clear and delicately viscous honey. We did not imagine we could really find sunflower kernel notes in an acacia honey – but goodness, we did! A lovely honey, while delicate and gentle, and remarkably versatile as an ingredient whether in drinks or culinary use.!
“This is a super-pale, champagne-coloured honey with a thick and viscous consistency, displaying delicate blossom and waxy flowers on the aroma. Beautifully perfumed and elegant in flavour, this honey is rich and complex with floral sweetness that carries through to the finish. The judges remarked that this honey is not overly sweet and finishes fresh.”
About: Whilst collecting the nectar of the acacia flowers, the bees also take tiny quantities of other active substances, which during the long process of maturation result in an exceptional honey that preserves its clarity over a longer period.
This acacia honey is fragrant, fine and delicious.
Taste: Intense sweetness quickly develops unexpected complexity with captivating rich tones of wheat germ and sunflower kernels.
Benefits: Acacia Honey can boost mental stimulation, improve cognitive skills and help with dementia. It is a natural source of rich vitamins, which boost the immune system.
Pairing: Raw acacia honey has a low acid content so it pairs well with many cheeses and fruits, including figs, apricots, apples and nuts. It is wonderful in coffee or tea, on porridge, toast or fresh bread. The delicate taste makes this honey highly suitable for many other culinary and beverage applications.
