Mountain Wild Linden Honey (227g)

Mountain Wild Linden Honey, one of our most appreciated honeys, is produced in the Carpathian mountains from the nectar of wild linden tree blossoms. With a rich, pleasant aroma and a unique lime-tinged taste, this honey can be easily recognized. The crystallisation rate is medium to fast with fine crystals producing a delicious creamy texture when the honey is spread.

Description

Mountain Wild Linden Honey – Single-Origin Raw Honey

This Mountain Wild Linden Honey is a premium, single-origin mountain honey harvested during the peak of the linden (lime tree) blossom. It is wild-foraged from a protected Carpathian Mountains Nature Reserve, far from urban pollution. Known for its distinctively fresh aroma, this mountain natural honey is a small-batch harvest prized for its purity and traditional therapeutic associations.

Our Production Standards

We adhere to high artisan standards to ensure the honey remains in its most potent, natural state.

  • Raw & Unpasteurized: This honey is not heat-treated. Keeping it unpasteurized protects the delicate aromatic oils and the complex nutritional profile of the linden blossom.
  • Cold-Extracted: Our beekeepers use a cold-extracted method to remove the honey from the comb, ensuring that the natural enzymes, antioxidants, and pollen remain intact.
  • Treatment-Free: Our bees forage in chemical-free mountain landscapes. We use treatment-free beekeeping practices, avoiding the use of synthetic chemicals or antibiotics within the hives.
  • Small-Batch & Sustainable: We produce in limited small-batch quantities. Our process is bee-friendly and sustainably harvested, ensuring the colony remains strong by only collecting the surplus honey.

Pairing

Mountain Wild Linden Honey enhances many foods and recipes:

  • Drizzle over porridge, yoghurt or fresh fruit
  • Ideal for teas, herbal infusions or hot drinks as a natural sweetener
  • Pairs well with cheeses and will enliven many recipes
  • It is great simply added to warm water with a dash of lemon juice for a tasty and soothing beverage

Additional information

Benefits

Pure honey is naturally high in antioxidants derived from nectar. Typically, 82% sugars (glucose and fructose), 18% ‘B’ vitamins and minerals. Raw honey is unheated during processing to avoid damaging these delicate, nutritious compounds which support a healthy immune system.

Storage

Honey is ideally stored at room temperature (around 18-22 Celsius) and need not be refrigerated to preserve it in top condition for up to two years. Exposing honey to temperatures above 35 C (hive temperature) from the sun or other heat sources can damage vitamin content and flavour, so please store out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. All natural honey will begin slowly to crystallise after a period of time dependent on its aromatic content. It can be used semi-set in the same way as when clear, but if you wish to return its clarity, place in a warm cupboard at 30-35 C and over a few days it will clarify.
