Taste

From wild flowering dwarf-acacia trees found in a Danube delta nature reserve, this light-textured honey offers intense sweetness balanced by chamomile umami with just a hint of butterscotch. The flavour quickly develops a self-contained, delicious fresh nougat character, an unexpectedly moreish taste which fills the mouth and leaves a long finish.

Naturally Raw, Unfiltered & Slow to Crystallise

Our raw acacia honey is unfiltered and unpasteurised, preserving beneficial enzymes, antioxidants and authentic flavour. Its naturally light texture and sweetness make it ideal for drizzling, spreading or stirring — and it remains runny longer than many other honeys due to its low glucose content.

Great Taste Award-Winning Honey

Here’s what the Great Taste Awards judges said about our Dwarf Acacia Honey:

“Lovely liquid amber appearance and clarity. Definitely a long finish which doesn’t catch in the back of the throat and its quite clean. Very sweet, delicate and quite floral forward but there is no taste of butterscotch.”

“A light and runny honey that is gently flavoured with a mild sweetness and good length on the palate. The judges liked the butterscotch notes and the complex flavour. This would be lovely spread on delicate Viennoiserie as a breakfast honey”

This award-winning honey has been acknowledged for its refined flavour and outstanding quality — a favourite among honey lovers and gourmet food enthusiasts.

Additional information

Weight227 g
Benefits

Pure honey is naturally high in antioxidants derived from nectar. Typically, 82% sugars (glucose and fructose), 18% ‘B’ vitamins and minerals. Raw honey is unheated during processing to avoid damaging these delicate, nutritious compounds which support a healthy immune system.

Storage

Honey is ideally stored at room temperature (around 18-22 Celsius) and need not be refrigerated to preserve it in top condition for up to two years. Exposing honey to temperatures above 35 C (hive temperature) from the sun or other heat sources can damage vitamin content and flavour, so please store out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. All natural honey will begin slowly to crystallise after a period of time dependent on its aromatic content. It can be used semi-set in the same way as when clear, but if you wish to return its clarity, place in a warm cupboard at 30-35 C and over a few days it will clarify.
