Mountain Pine Honeydew Honey (227g)

Our Mountain Pine Honeydew Honey is made from high-altitude pine woodland honeydews in the Carpathian Mountains. A smooth creamy texture and old gold colour. Perfectly balanced, mouth-filling and moreish with butter toffee body, a peppermint garnish and just a hint of menthol. Long-lasting bitter-sweet finish that pleasantly sinks into the palate. Honeydew originates from the sugar-rich sap that feeds the tree. It is made in the leaves using mineral-rich water brought up from the roots combined with oxygen and energy from the sun, and incorporates a range of minerals, enzymes and amino acids not found in flower nectar.

Description

Mountain Pine Honeydew Honey – Raw Artisan Honey (227 g)

Rich Pine Forest Honeydew Honey from the Carpathian Mountains

Discover Mountain Pine Honeydew Honey, a bold and flavourful raw honeydew honey harvested from the untouched pine forests of the Carpathian Mountains. Unlike blossom honey, this unique honey is produced when bees collect honeydew — a sweet secretion from insects feeding on pine sap — giving it a dark colour, complex flavour profile and forest-rich aroma that stands out in any honey collection.

Raw, Unfiltered & Naturally Nutritious

Our raw pine honeydew honey is 100% natural, unprocessed and unfiltered, preserving its natural enzymes, antioxidants and deep, layered flavours. Its robust character features hints of pine resin, rich malt sweetness and earthy undertones — a favourite among food lovers, chefs and honey connoisseurs alike.

Pairing

Pairs very well with Greek yoghurt, bread and ice cream. A spoonful can be taken as needed to combat winter ailments.

Mountain Pine Honeydew Honey enhances a wide range of foods and recipes:

  • Drizzle over yoghurt, porridge or granola
  • Stir into tea, herbal infusions or coffee
  • Pair with cheese boards — especially white, creamy cheeses
  • Use as a natural sweetener in dressings, marinades or glazes

Additional information

Benefits

Pure honey is naturally high in antioxidants derived from nectar. Typically, 82% sugars (glucose and fructose), 18% ‘B’ vitamins and minerals. Raw honey is unheated during processing to avoid damaging these delicate, nutritious compounds which support a healthy immune system.

Storage

Honey is ideally stored at room temperature (around 18-22 Celsius) and need not be refrigerated to preserve it in top condition for up to two years. Exposing honey to temperatures above 35 C (hive temperature) from the sun or other heat sources can damage vitamin content and flavour, so please store out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. All natural honey will begin slowly to crystallise after a period of time dependent on its aromatic content. It can be used semi-set in the same way as when clear, but if you wish to return its clarity, place in a warm cupboard at 30-35 C and over a few days it will clarify.
