Description

Mountain Silver Linden Honey – Premium Award-Winning Single-Origin Raw Honey (227 g)

Product Overview

Our Mountain Silver Linden Honey is a premium, award-winning, single-origin honey. It is wild-foraged from the blossoms of Silver Linden (lime) trees located within an ancient unspoiled Carpathian Mountains Nature Reserve. This natural, small-batch nectar is highly prized for its unique aromatic intensity and is widely considered one of the finest floral honeys in the world.

Taste

Honey produced in a mountain nature reserve from the nectar of silver-linden trees has a luminously vibrant yellow-cream colour. This buttery honey melts, glucose-sweet, on the tongue, infiltrating the tastebuds with a delicately-flavoured warm base soured by the rich lime essence of linden blossom and touched by a mere hint of spearmint freshness.

Great Taste Award-Winning Honey

This honey has been recognised with a prestigious Great Taste Award, judged by leading chefs and food experts for its exceptional quality and flavour. The judges praised its silky texture, refined floral aroma and long, elegant finish, making it a standout choice among honey connoisseurs.

Here’s what the Great Taste Awards judges said about our Silver Linden Honey:

“This curd-like yellow honey has a softly fresh, citrus-herbaceous-floral aroma. On the palate, the judges commended the impressive evolution of flavours; a burst of buttery perfumed florals blend into a bright lemon-lime citrus, and then a cooling spearmint-herbaceous finish. Though the length could be greater, this is a truly unique and complex honey.”

“A richly glossy honey with thick. fudgy texture. The flavour is immediately complex and exciting, the judges liked the leafy freshness, the hint of citrus and the burst of spearmint on the tongue. The finish is fresh and clean”

“A good example of linden honey with all the typical aromas and flavours of the type. The fine, granular texture added interest and gave a refreshing note to the flavour. We really enjoyed the buttery aspect of the flavour too, the slight bitterness, and touch of acidity that mitigated the sweetness and delivered a fresh mouthfeel. Judges all enjoyed the strong, refreshing hint of spearmint freshness too.”

“This is uniquely distinctive honey that promises and delivers the aromas and flavours of a blooming linden tree. The floral syrupy flavour of the honey is accentuated by a hint of lime followed by notes of mint – truly delicious.”

“Would make a great Valentine’s Day gift for one’s loved one as the taste is rich but delicate. A precious treat as lime blossom has a short season.”

Our Production Standards

We utilize traditional artisan methods to ensure that every jar of Mountain Silver Linden Honey reaches you in its most potent, raw state.

  • Raw & Unpasteurized: Our honey not heat-treated. Keeping it unpasteurized protects the delicate essential oils and the complex nutritional enzymes that give Silver Linden its distinctive character.
  • Cold-Extracted: Our beekeepers use a cold-extracted method to remove the honey from the comb. This process ensures the living enzymes, antioxidants, and original pollen remain undamaged by heat.
  • Treatment-Free: Our bees forage in chemical-free mountain landscapes. Our beekeepers follow treatment-free beekeeping practices, ensuring no synthetic chemicals or antibiotics are used within the hives.
  • Small-Batch & Sustainable: Every harvest is a limited small-batch run. Our process is bee-friendly and sustainably harvested, prioritizing the health of the colony by only collecting the surplus honey.

Pairing

Mountain Silver Linden Honey enhances both sweet and savoury dishes:

  • Drizzle over porridge, yoghurt or fresh fruit
  • Sweeten tea, herbal infusions or hot drinks naturally
  • Spread on fresh bread, toast or warm pastries
  • Use in salad dressings, marinades and desserts

Additional information

Benefits

Pure honey is naturally high in antioxidants derived from nectar. Typically, 82% sugars (glucose and fructose), 18% ‘B’ vitamins and minerals. Raw honey is unheated during processing to avoid damaging these delicate, nutritious compounds which support a healthy immune system.

Storage

Honey is ideally stored at room temperature (around 18-22 Celsius) and need not be refrigerated to preserve it in top condition for up to two years. Exposing honey to temperatures above 35 C (hive temperature) from the sun or other heat sources can damage vitamin content and flavour, so please store out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. All natural honey will begin slowly to crystallise after a period of time dependent on its aromatic content. It can be used semi-set in the same way as when clear, but if you wish to return its clarity, place in a warm cupboard at 30-35 C and over a few days it will clarify.
