Honey Hills Great Taste 2025 – 3 Star Winner!
“The honey is light in colour and has a cloudy appearance. The aroma is very subtle, with a tiny hint of citrus. The flavour of elderflower is amazing while the hints of lime and lemon are more subtle but definitely present.
Distinctive and with a long and rewarding finish, this honey has an unusually refreshing taste very reminiscent of elderflower.
This golden honey welcomes with an intense and inviting citrus-floral fragrance. On the palate, the judges applauded the impressive evolution of flavours achieved, with bright, rounded citrus and defined floral elderflower, delivered with smooth, balanced sweetness. Beautiful.”
Honey Hills Great Taste 2025 – 2 Star Winner:
“A honey of good viscosity and with the attractive red colour associated with the source of the honeydew.
This is entirely intriguing – the initial aroma and palate impact was described by one judge as akin to opening a fresh packet of cigarettes and there is indeed a light tobacco note in evidence.
A waxy, dark golden honey with very complex flavour. Initially there is a barley sugar sweetness followed by citrus peel with a long persistent finish. The judges found this a refreshing honey.”

“This curd-like yellow honey has a softly fresh, citrus-herbaceous-floral aroma. On the palate, the judges commended the impressive evolution of flavours; a burst of buttery perfumed florals blend into a bright lemon-lime citrus,and then a cooling spearmint-herbaceous finish.A richly glossy honey with thick. fudgy texture. The flavour is immediately complex and exciting, the judges liked the leafy freshness, the hint of citrus and the burst of spearmint on the tongue. The finish is fresh and clean. A good example of linden honey with all the typical aromas and flavours of the type. The fine, granular texture added interest and gave a refreshing note to the flavour. We really enjoyed the buttery aspect of the flavour too, the slight bitterness, and touch of acidity that mitigated the sweetness and delivered a fresh mouthfeel. Judges all enjoyed the strong, refreshing hint of spearmint freshness too.This is uniquely distinctive honey that promises and delivers the aromas and flavours of a blooming linden tree. The floral syrupy flavour of the honey is accentuated by a hint of lime followed by notes of mint – truly delicious. Would make a great Valentine’s Day gift for one’s loved one as the taste is rich but delicate. A precious treat as lime blossom has a short season.”

“A very sweet honey that matches its elaborate description quite perfectly. We loved the milky coffee and salted caramel tones here, and how the coriander is almost candied.”

“The honey has a thick viscosity and is lightly golden with a floral aroma. In the mouth the honey is very granular and this texture does appear to help bring out the complexity of flavours the honey. The richly is richly floral with a hint of earthiness.
Floral, with a grainy yet inviting texture, there is a lot to enjoy in this honey. The perfumed citrus notes are a total joy with a lingering polite finish that suggests summer in its glory.”
